Rune - MANNAZ
The Northern Runes, in pre-Christian times, had a dual purpose: an alphabet and an oracle. The origins of these symbols, in ancient times, are from Saba, later they pass through the Phoenician culture, incorporating into the Germanic tribes and eventually into the Norse peoples. They are angular as they were carved into stone and wood (paper did not exist then) by sharp metal tools. There are in general 24 runes, depending on the cultural register.
This is an original painting with the imaginative and creative interpretation I have given it. There is also an animated video clip of the work.
